Early Morning Highway

“Portrait of the Sun”

“Portrait of the Sun”

The five minutes in the early morning shower is actually my life, and of course everyone knows that, but how many reflect upon it being a moment of their very own living existence? Every move we make throughout our daily routines is a fleeting moment of living.

What's new? Nothing much. Same crap, different day, bigger pile. What if there is no tomorrow to repeat that standard reply? No fresh air, sun, life. Man is ruining his very own home all in the pursuit of money. Although with the devastating leak of oil in the gulf, is the earth crying? Not at all. The earth will always be OK with or without man.

And so down the early morning highway, with stuffed animals lining the rear deck window of our cars, finding all the places along our paths where trees should not be growing. And the buildings where a large nut fell through the roof from the sky, maybe from an aircraft. Of course the FAA took the part and the news never said a word.

Are all these things of any importance in the large scheme of existence? The old earth must laugh, not cry, at what happens upon it. Live, breathe, enjoy the scent of the milkweed, the sight of a butterfly, and the love not only that you receive but that you give.
